General Stuff

Life was pleasantly social last week. I had afternoon tea in Bristol with Adele on Tuesday and we also had fun poking around Fabric Land. I finally managed to buy stuff for my new gown for the Fan Makers dinner and I got stuff for Peter's costume as well as some pretty trims...
Ballet started up again, it's nearly all new people this time, so we've gone right back to basics which is good as it means I can really concentrate on getting the positions exactly right and maintaining turn out. Some of the new girls had lovely ballet skirts and dresses though, so now I'm toying with the idea pf getting some proper kit for lessons. My Gandalf t-shirt and rowing shorts look decidedly shabby compared to everyone else!
Thursday afternoon Sam and I headed up to Birmingham. The drive was miserable but not too slow I guess. Just one of those journeys where despite not ever stopping moving we weren't going all that quickly either. After discovering that Andy's new house is scarily like the one he used to live in in Bath we settled down to watch a couple of films which were interesting but kinda random in points. Though this probably wasn't helped by the fact I was tired from driving and also very distracted by my new book... :D
Friday Andy had lectures, so Sam and I mooched into the town centre and had a lovely day shopping. We didn't really go into the Bull Ring as our first priority was to head to Cyber Candy. So we shopped our way there :D. I found some awesome bits and pieces for Christmas presents along the way, and I got my nieces birthday presents sorted. So that's all good. Andy met up with us late afternoon (after we'd stopped for afternoon tea in a victorian restaurant :D) and showed us where the Bull Ring was. We did a mini shop there but by that point Sam and I were tired and pretty much shopped out and seeing as we were heading back that evening we stopped shopping and went back to Andy's for dinner and then headed back to Bath :)
Sunday was monstering at larp. I had a thoroughly good time and was epically amused, particularly when the party stopped to discuss us and tactics they could use against us, in our hearing... I also loved walking through the final fight and and getting out of it by fearing the only person who spotted me. With the benefit of hindsight though, I shouldn't have hidden, I should have kept running! Oh and the happy village was quite a lot of fun as well. Hugging people is good, right? :P
Today I've got lots of jobs to do, but none are urgent so I can pick and chose. The garden needs some serious love, I need to shop, I want to try and get to grips with purl knitting, I want to start a crochet project, Peters He man costume needs starting, the kitchen needs cleaning. Oh and the laundry needs doing (when does it not?!).
So obviously, the important thing to do now is write a report for Katrin. :D
