Hmm... Been a while since I posted anything here!

So, life, yeah... Well I have now finished my painting class. It culminated in a self portrait done in acrylics on board. Whilst I don't think it's the best thing I've ever done I do quite like it. I'd put it on here to show you all but sadly it's too big to go in my scanner. So if you wanna see you'll have to come round and stare in person! According to my teacher it has my delicate touch and is wonderfully still. The grey background (for want of a better word...) really complements the hair and the layered translucency effect is very nice. It is also well composed. How you compose your own face well I don't know, but hey I did it!

The kitties are poorly atm. They were neutered yesterday and this morning they both have weeping wounds so we are heading back to the vets this afternoon. I'm sure I'm panicking over nothing but it is worrying me quite a lot...

I have been doing lots of sewing recently. I am really really enjoying sewing right now! I am making a dress for the ic meal (which is on Saturday so I need to hurry up and finish it), I have made a tunic top thing for a friend and I am customizing a shirt for another friend. I am also debating making a cloak as a Christmas present for my friend but I think I have run out of time really. Also in sewing news my parents and sister are coming to visit this weekend and whilst my dad and sister are off to do family tree research, Mum is going to help me design some patterns of my own. Hopefully patterns for a cloak, chemise and shirt. This will be really useful as I could do with a long sleeved chemise right now. I was silly to chose a larp costume on terms of prettiness rather than practicality I suppose. That said I love how girly my character is!

Speaking of larp I would just like to point out even though I appear to have been roped into GMing (eek!) I can still stop any time I want! :P

Christmas is creeping up on me this year. You can tell by how I haven't managed to buy any presents or anything yet. In fact apart from the fact that I am belting out carols at every available opportunity I am not feeling Christmassy at all. I miss working with children now - they won't let you forget Christmas! And Christmas is more special when you see it through a four year old's eyes.

I am looking forward to going home for Christmas. That said if anyone from Essex is reading and wants to meet up please let me know asap? I seem to be running out of free time faster than I am things to do/people to see!

Right - back to the sewing me thinks.
