Not a lot to say, but I'm saying it anyway :D
I have a new desk and new bookcases and have stolen some of downstairs to make an awesome little workroom for me. This works beautifully, provided Colin isn't on the wii. If he is it all goes wrong, 'cos I get distracted by Mario's plight...
The reason I am downstairs is because on Sunday Sam is moving into the spare room. This is also very exciting, though I still have lots of tidying/cleaning to do. Hopefully it'll all be sorted before Saturday as then I can spend some quality time with Ella, because what with one thing and another it feels like I haven't seen her in ages!
Work is good mostly though some really stressful bits as well. I am losing children because they aren't settling as quickly as parents would like. Sadly there's not a lot to be done about this. It's an age old problem and the answer is time and hardening your heart. However I can appreciate why parents who are just using the gym for an hour don't want to do this. I still feel like an utter failure when I have to call the parents back though. That said, one of my babies feel asleep on me today which was lovely, and I have some real tinies starting next week so maybe it'll pick up again?
Sewing is progressing but is hard work. I'll be taking a few weeks for myself once this current batch is done, as I think I need the time to explore some new projects and techniques.
The sewing blog also continues well and very excitingly is being read by people I don't know, from around the world! This gives me no end of joy!
In Nomine comes to an end on Saturday. I've enjoyed it, whilst it lasted but I'm now starting to look ahead to D&D and I really think there's only room for one tabletop RP at a time in my life. Mind you Eve is going to have some fun before she disappears back into my head. Fellow players, you have been warned!
I enjoyed the 36hr for the most part, I don't really want to talk about what I didn't enjoy as I've gone over it plenty and anymore will make me sound even more whiny than I really am!
I did something funny to my neck the other day and now my shoulder, neck and ribs ache horribly. It's getting better but I've been driving to work as I couldn't face the pain of walking this week (breathing hurts, so climbing hills has been a bit of a no-no). I'm hoping it'll be gone by Sunday!
I babysat for my boss tonight. The kids were very good considering it was the first time and a school night. Both in bed on time and only one of the good ol' I can't sleep moments... They have a lovely dog as well! Luckily I knew about it 'cos the children talk about her constantly at work but she's not small so would have come as a shock when I got in the door had I not been pre-warned!
I remembered my parents wedding anniversary! And posted a card! This is good 'cos now I don't get the lecture about not caring. I'd like to point out, it's not that I don't care but more that I think wedding anniversaries are for the people who got married, not anyone else. I don't expect my parents to remember my wedding anniversary... Next big hurdle on the dates list is Ella's 10th birthday. Anyone got any good ideas for a present for her? We've vetoed a laptop, mobile phone, wii or hamsters so far...
I have grown tomatoes in my garden. And apples. And raspberries. This is really cool, but next year I must try and do more with the garden. Hopefully I won't fill planting season with frantic sewing, which was this years mistake!
I think that's everything. I've run out of steam now even if it isn't!
